Pre-K Registration Begins Thursday
Will your child be 3 or 4 by September 1, 2010? If yes, Darwin Pre-K is available for you. Registration begins Thursday May 6, 2010 from 9-2. Please call 773-534-4110 for information.

Students March for Peace
6th, 7th, & 8th grade took part in a peace march to Humboldt Park on Friday April 30. The met other students from the schools in the area.

Uxbridge High School Band Performs for Darwin Students
On a musical tour of Chicago, the Uxbridge High School band from Canada performed for our 6th through 8th grade students last week.

New Technology for Darwin
Darwin School recently added 6 new Promethian Boards for grades 6 through 8. These boards are the latest in classroom technology and allows for students to interact with the board for extensive learning.

The digits of Pi competition took place today in our auditorium. A student from each classroom participated in the naming of the digits. Mr. Segovia led the cheer with great prizes for all the participants.

From the Barrio to the Board room
Last week Darwin School welcomed Robert Renteria, author of the book From the Barrio to the Boardroom. He spoke to our 8th graders. His presence was sponsored by our great partner Holland and Knight law firm.

Darwin Children's Choir
Darwin Children's Choir presented two songs at the Chicago Cultural Center as part of the Chicago Children's Choir Black History Month Concerts on February 23.
